Specimens examined. 1 ♀, Asir, Maraba , 1–31. v. 2004, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( NMWC) .
Other Saudi Arabian records: Asir Region: Maraba: 60 km S of Abha ( Dawah & Abdullah 2006) .
Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Dawah & Abdullah (2006). The species was described from Britain and has also been recorded from the Palaearctic Region: Algeria, Canary Islands, Egypt, Europe, Morocco and Afrotropical Region: United Arab Emirates. There are some specimens of C. cimiciforme in NMWC collected from Cyprus, France, Malta, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey and Afrotropical Region: Oman and Yemen.
Biology. Some species of Clanoneurum are leaf-miners and are pests of sugar beet. The larvae of C. cimiciforme mine the leaves of Chenopodiaceae and have been recorded from Suaeda Forssk. ex J.F. Gmel , Salicornia Linnaeus , Atriplex Linnaeus , Beta Linnaeus and Halimione Aellen ( Ferrar 1987) .
