Benthic: depth: 2 m ( 7 ft) or less (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) to perhaps 23 m ( 75 ft) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California).
