Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 2 – 5 ): Wingspan 22.0–26.0 mm.
Material examined. Guizhou Province: Chishui, 240 m, 22.ix.2000, coll. Haili Yu (2 3); Chishui, 390 m, 27–29.ix.2000, coll. Yanli Du (3 3).
Distribution. China (Guizhou), Java.
Host plants. Celastraceae : Euonymus japonicus Thunb. , Maytenus hookeri Loesener ( Guo 1981, Gershenson & Ulenberg 1998).
Diagnosis. This species is similar to T. brunnescens (Moore) in appearance, but can be distinguished from it by having 11–13 radial black dots in the forewing, whereas there are only 6–7 radial black dots in T. brunnescens . It is also close to T. guttella in the male genitalia, but can be separated by the triangular process in the ventral aspect of gnathal arm ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 8 – 10 ), which is fingerlike in T. guttella .
