Houhun and Xinpu Wang ( NKUM).

Diagnosis. Glaucocharis parmulella Wang & Sung, 1988 is similar to G. rectifascialis Gaskin, 1988 in the female genitalia, but can be distinguished by the straight tubular antrum, and the ductus burae with a sclerotized plate in posterior part. In G. rectifascialis , the antrum is funnel-shaped, and the ductus bursae lacks the sclerotized plate. The male genitalia of the two species are different conspicuously: in G. parmulella , the costa bears a thumblike basal prong, and does not exceeding apex of valva, and the juxta is scutellate; in G. rectifascialis , the basal prong of costa is strongly spinelike, the costa goes beyond apex of the valva conspicuously, and the juxta is Y-shaped.

Description. Adult forewing length 6.5–8.0 mm.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ). Papilla analis ovate, about one third length of apophysis posterioris. Tergite eight about half as long as apophysis anterioris. Antrum straight tubular, slightly thicker than posterior part of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae with an ovate sclerotized plate before antrum, thin medially, thickened towards corpus bursae. Ductus seminalis arising from anterior one third of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae rounded; signum rounded, placed at posterior one third of corpus bursae.

Distribution. China (Guizhou, Hubei, Shaanxi, Sichuan).

Remarks. The female of this species is described for the first time. Wang et al. (1988) described and figured the male adult and genitalia.
