Diagnosis. Glaucocharis longqiensis Song, 1993 is similar to G. m e l i s t o m a (Meyrick, 1931) in the female genitalia, but can be distinguished by the absence of the lamella vaginalis and the absence of the protuberance of the ductus bursae. In G. m e l i s t o m a, the lamellae vaginalis is present and the posterior part of the ductus bursae is protuberant to one side. The male genitalia of the two species are conspicuously different: the valva points outward distally and bears an apical spine in G. longqiensis ; while the valva points inward distally, and lacks the apical spine in G. m e l i s t o m a.
Description. Adult forewing length 4.5–5.5 mm.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ). Papilla analis ovate, about one third length of apophysis posterioris. Tergite eight about half as long as apophysis anterioris. Ostium bursae about twice as wide as median part of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae curved slightly. Ductus seminalis arising from anterior one fourth of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate; signum rounded, placed at posterior one third of corpus bursae.
Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan). Remarks. The female of this species is described for the first time. Song (1993) described and figured the male adlut and genitalia.
