Global distribution: NT.
Argentinian distribution: Río Negro, Santa Cruz.
Ecology: This species was found in permanent freshwater environments. It was recorded from 116 to 900 m a.s.l., with alkaline waters (pH: 7.8–9.9) and electrical conductivity values ranging between 247 and 1738 μS/cm.
