Holotype: ZISP 8576 View Materials , “town of Ta-tsien-lu” [ Kangding Xian , Sichuan, China]. Leg.: G. N. Potanin, 23.IV.1893. Present name: Scincella potanini ( Günther 1896) fide Shea & Greer (2002).

Remarks: This specimen could not be located in the ZISP collection in January 2017.
