Although widespread across much of the eastern United States, this rarely seen eucnemid species was previously known from Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin ( Muona 2000) and newly recorded in Massachusetts. Muona (2000) regarded a Utah record as mislabeled. A single specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap placed in Barnstable County. MASSACHUSETTS: Barnstable County: 3.8 km WSW Orleans, 20 July–3 August 2016, T. Kesting-Handly (CMNH).
