Material examined. 2 males (45.9 x 30.5 mm, 67.6 x 45.7 mm) ( DABFUK), Kavaratti, 8 January 2013 ; 2 males (30.8 x 20.9 mm, 43.5 x 29.8 mm) ( DABFUK), Kadamat, 20 June 2013 ; 1 male (31.3 x 21.7 mm), 1 female (66.6 x 44.3 mm) ( DABFUK), Minicoy, 25 September 2014 ; 2 females (41.9 x 20.4 mm, 51.2 x 39.8 mm) ( DABFUK), Kilton, 19 October 2014 ; 2 females (52.6 x 33.5 mm, 65.8 x 44.3 mm) ( DABFUK), Kalpeni, 2 October 2014 ; 1 juvenile male (13.8 x 9.4 mm) ( DABFUK), Kavaratti, 17 November 2015 .

Remarks. Previously recorded from Lakshadweep ( Alcock 1898; Thomas 1969; Suvarna Devi et al. 2014; Kumaralingam et al. 2017). This is a common poisonous species widespread in the Indo-West Pacific ( Serène 1984).
