Color. Brownish black.
Head. Narrower than prothorax; frontal foveae deeply depressed. Genae sparsely setose with group six or seven setae. Labrum subrectangular, anterior angles rounded; anterior margin straight. Maxillary palps with palpomere 2 longest; palpomere 4 longer than 3 rd. Mentum with bifid median tooth; lateral lobes of with a sharp tooth at apex. Ligula short and truncate anteriorly; paraglossae distinctly longer than ligula.
Pronotum. Large, widest at anterior third with distinctly explanate lateral borders; apical margin straight; pronotal base narrower than apex, basal margin sinuate medially; anterior transverse sulcus obsolete; posterior transverse sulcus distinct.
Elytra. Lateral margins faintly subserrate; apices strongly sinuate near outer angles.
Venter. Abdominal sternite 3 of male with single circular, median depression and patch of long filamentous setae; sternites 3 to 5 in male and female with one pair of paramedian setae.
Genitalia. Female stylomere 1 triangular, without setae at apical rim; stylomere 2 with two very small ensiform setae along medial margin and one umbilicate seta in middle of outer margin. Male aedeagus well sclerotised; median lobe with a dorsal opening; apex narrow, tapered, and rounded.

Geographic distribution. Sri Lanka (Dikoya-Sri Lankan montane evergreen forests).
