1a. Kalanchoe gracilipes var. microphylla Humbert ex L.Allorge View in CoL in Boiteau & Allorge-Boiteau (1995: 46).
Type:— MADAGASCAR. Toliara, southeastern Madagascar, Massif de l’Andohahela , 1700–1900 m asl, H. Humbert 13579 (lectotype P, P00431005 !, http://coldb.mnhn.fr/catalognumber/mnhn/p/p00431005), here designated .
Note on the type:— Three H. Humbert 13579 specimens exist at Herb. P, all labelled as “ TYPE ”, in red ink, including: (1) P00431005 ; http://coldb.mnhn.fr/catalognumber/mnhn/p/p00431005; (2) P00431006 ; http://coldb.mnhn.fr/ catalognumber/mnhn/p/p00431006; and (3) P00431007 ; http://coldb.mnhn.fr/catalognumber/mnhn/p/p00431007. Boiteau & Allorge-Boiteau (1995: 46) did not indicate which one of these three specimens is the type of Kalanchoe gracilipes var. microphylla . All indications are that these three specimens, syntypes, refer to a single gathering; for example, all three are dated “ Janvier 1934 ” .
Under Turland et al. (2018: Art. 9.10) the term holotype as used by Boiteau & Allorge-Boiteau (1995: 46) is corrected to syntype, and one of the Humbert 13579 specimens, with barcode P00431005 is designated as lectotype .
Additional material examined:—Only three specimens were available for examination online (see “Note on the type ”, above).
