Centris (Melacentris) boliviensis Mocsáry, 1899 View in CoL
Centris flavilabris boliviensis Mocsáry, 1899: 253 View in CoL [New lectotype designation]
Centris flavilabris boliviensis View in CoL lectotype (♀, Figs 9–12 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ): All four female syntype specimens (“quattuor specimina conformia”) included by Mocsáry (1899) were examined. A single female labeled “ Bolivia / Songo 98”, “48.” [green label], “ C. flavilabris View in CoL ♀ / v. boliviensis View in CoL / det. Friese 1898 [printed] / Mocs.” is here designated as the lectotype. Two additional females labeled “ Bolivia / Songo 98” and one female labeled “ Bolivia / S. Antonio” are designated paralectotypes. The type locality is Zongo, Cordillera Real, La Paz, Bolivia. This species is not identical to the mostly black female illustrated and keyed by Moure (2002), as the lectotype, and all paralectotypes have a ferruginous abdomen and faint markings in the paraocular area and on the clypeus. The female illustrated by Moure (2002) has all these parts black.
