10. Teratura (Macroteratura) thrinaca View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs.7–12 View FIGURES 7 – 12 , 19–20 View FIGURES 13 – 20 )
Male. Body comparatively large and slender. Fastigium verticis conical, with dorsal longitudinal furrow. Eyes large, spherical and protruding. Maxillary palpi thin and long, apical segment as long as subapical one, apex enlarged. Pronotum long and narrow; metazona somewhat broader than prozona, anterior margin straight, posterior margin blunt and protruding; lateral lobes of pronotum longer than high; humeral sinus inconspicuous. Thoracic foramen large, oval. Tegmina long and narrow. Hind wings longer than tegmina for 4.0–5.0 mm. Fore coxa with 1 spine. Fore tibiae with open auditory organs on internal and external sides, with 6 spines on internal and 7 spines on external ventral margins. Femora without ventral spines, apex of genicular lobe blunt. Post knee lobe blunt. Posttibiae with 27 to 28 spines on internal and external dorsal margins; with 4–5 spines on internal ventral margin and 9–10 spines on external ventral margin. Tenth abdominal tergite with a pair of rather long and strong symmetrical processes, apical half decurved, apices slightly acute; and with 8 blunt spines. Cerci robust, with irregular and lamellar lobes on ventral internal margins; apices with 3 spines, central spine short and blunt, the others thin and sharp. Male genitalia much sclerotized, apices exposed, thin and long. Subgenital plate small, truncated. Styli long.
Body light yellowish brown. Antennal socket and scape black brown at internal area. Vertex brown. Pronotum brown, centre with a heart-shape dark brown spot. Tegmina hazel.
Female. Cerci conical, apices curled. Ovipositor rather long, curved upward slightly. Subgenital plate broad at base, subapical part narrow ( Fig.12 View FIGURES 7 – 12 ).
Measurements (mm). Body: 315.0, Ƥ11.5; pronotum: 35.0, Ƥ4.5; tegmina: 319.0, Ƥ21.5; postfemor: 314.5, Ƥ16.0; ovipositor: Ƥ14.0.
Type material. Holotype: male, Jingdong, Yunnan, 22 Aug., 2009, collected by Fu-Ming Shi; paratype: 1female, Jingdong, Yunnan, 22 Aug., 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li.
Discussion. The new species is very similar to T. (Macroteratura) megafurcula ( Tinkham, 1944) , but it differs from the latter in: male tenth abdominal tergite strong, and with 8 blunt spines; male cercus with 3 spines on apex.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from the male’s cercus morphology.
