Hapalopus sellatus Simon, 1889: 218 . Holotype female, MNHN 8102, from Upper Amazonas, Brazil and male and female paratypes from same locality (MNHN 8102) without further information, examined.

Additional material examined: 1 male, IBSP 8900, from Serra do Divisor, Acre, R.M. Vieira et al., 05–25 November 1996.

Diagnosis: The species can be distinguished from all the other species, except C. versicolor and C. bertae , by not having a striped pattern on the dorsal abdomen ( Fig. 49 ). The female differs from C. versicolor by the homogeneous color pattern of the cephalothorax. The male can be distinguished from C. bertae and C. versicolor by having a long paraembolic apophysis ( Figs 19, 20 ).

Distribution: Brazil: States of Amazonas and Acre; Peru ( Fig. 56 ).
