Procollina biolleyi ( Distant, 1903)

Odopoea biolleyi Distant 1903: 526 (type material in BMNH, BMNH(E) #651650). Collina biolleyi Distant 1905b: 480 .

Type locality. Cerro Carisia , Costa Rica.

Remarks. The label associated with a syntype in the BMNH records the specimen being collected at 1600 m on Cerro Carisia. Body length is 32 mm with a wingspan of 85 mm ( Distant 1903). The bronze tinting of the hyaline fore wings in this species is much darker than in P. obesa , this new species lacks the small spots of infuscation within all fore wing cells found in P. obesa , and this species is about 50% larger than P. obesa . The fore wing coloration is bronzed rather than bluish, the lateral view of the uncus is smoothly curved rather than being bent at an approximate right angle as in P. ustulata n. sp. and P. webbi n. sp. is larger with longitudinal marks on the fore wing veins between apical cells rather than the transverse marks found in P. biolleyi .

Distribution. Specimens have been reported previously from Costa Rica and Panama ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013; 2014).
