Treatment

Genus Pseudoflagellophorella View in CoL gen. nov.

Diagnosis. The new genus differs from the other Caucasian anthroleucosomatids by the presence of a pair of long and slender processes on the anterior side of the anterior gonopods.

Etymology. To emphasize the presence of a pair of long and slender processes on the anterior side of the anterior gonopods, which resemble a pair of pseudoflagella.

Description. Body length 8.5–12.5 mm in males, 9–11.5 mm in females; number of body segments 31 in adults (including telson). Body pigmented. Head flattened in males. Antennae and walking legs normal. Lateral keels like lateral swellings. Macrochaetae relativelly long, trichoid. Leg-pairs 3–7 in males enlarged. Male leg-pair 7 with a wide, lamellar, coxal process. Leg-pairs 10 and 11 in males with coxal glands. Male leg-pair 10 with a posterior coxal horn.

Anterior gonopods with a sternal lamella (sl) on anterior side of sternal plate (sp). Coxal processes consisting of medial parts (mp) and two lateral parts (lp). The most characteristic part of the anterior gonopods is a pair of pseudoflagella (pf) partly covered by medial parts. Posteriorly, various lamellae and rows of setae present.

Posterior gonopods simplified, with completely divided coxites (c). Telopodites small (t), present on posterolateral sides. With or without clearly noticeable coxal processes (cp). Coxal vesicles (cv) present on anterior sides.

Distribution. Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia ( Fig. 169 View FIGURE 169 , triangle).

Type species. Pseudoflagellophorella mirabilis gen. et sp. nov., by present designation.
