Discussion: This species was desribed from a single female specimen collected from a stream in Karelia ( Sokolow 1926). From the original description it is similar to T. brevirostris and both Szalay (1933) and Cicolani & Di Sabatino (1990) hypothesized a possible synonymy with this species. Since the gnathosoma was not figured in the original description, and the species is based on a single female, it is impossible to confirm this synonymy and T. sandalensis is thus considered a species incerta .
