sp. nov.

Leuconemacris acuminata , sp. nov. ( Figs 1–5 View FIGURES 1–5 , 22–23 View FIGURES22–31 )

Description. Male. Small size.

Head. Head 1.0–1.1 times longer than pronotum; frons slightly oblique in lateral view; fastigium triangular, apex acutely angular, dorsum weakly depressed with distinct median and lateral carinae, median carina continuing to half of occiput; vertex between eyes 1.6–1.8 times as wide as frontal costa between antennae; frontal costa broad and shallowly concave at whole length, lateral margins nearly parallel but gradually expanded below median ocellus. Antennae thick, 20 segments, surpassing hind margin of pronotum, basal segments weakly compassed, median segment (9 th –13 th) mean 1.3 times as long as wide. Eyes roundly triangular, longitudinal diameter 1.2–1.3 times horizontal diameter and 0.9–1.0 times the length of subocular furrow.

Thorax. Pronotum with anteral margin nearly straight, posteral margin nearly straight with a small median notch; median and lateral carinae distinct, lateral carinae a little recurved medially; prozona 1.4–1.6 times as long as metazona. Mesosternal interspace trapezoidal, minimum width 2.0 times larger than length; metasternal lobes separate. Tegmen abbreviated, 2.5 times as long as wide, dorsally touching each other, apex rounded, not reaching or just reaching 1/3 of hind femur, or surpassing hind margin of 5 th abdominal tergite; anterior margin sinuate, precostal area ending at half of whole length; costal area 1.7–2.0 times as wide as subcostal area, medial area weakly wider than or equal to radial area. Hind wing vestigial, not surpassing half of 1 st abdominal tergite. Hind femur 4.0–4.3 times longer than wide, inner side with 44–49 conical stridulatory pegs. Hind tibia with 11 spines on both dorsal margins, outer apical spine absent.

Abdomen. Tympanum developed. 10 th abdominal tergite excised in middle, with furculae. Epiproct rhombic, as long as wide, shallowly furrowed at basal half, apex rounded. Cerci long conical, finely surpassing apex of epiproct, apex blunt. Subgenital plate distally observably slimmed, long conical, apex acute. Epiphallus with bridge semicircular; lateral plate with outer-lower corner pointed; lophi nearly oblong, distal and basal portions densely interspersed with granules; anchorae stout, pointing ahead and ventrad.

Coloration. Body greyish-green or greenish-brown. Antennae with basal segments brown, others dark. Eye brown. Tegmen with basal portion brown and apical portion hyaline but costal area white in basal portion. Hind femur with outer side brown, lower side yellow. Hind tibia yellowish-red.

Female. Similar to male, but body stout, eyes longitudinal diameter 1.1 times horizontal diameter and 0.8 times the length of subocular furrow, the notch on the posterior margin of pronotum clearer, tegmen surpassing hind margin of 1 st abdominal tergite. Subgenital plate oblong, hind margin acutely protruding in the middle. Upper ovipositor valves with upper-outer margin rough, lower ovipositor valve nearly straight, margin smooth.

Measurements (mm). Length of body: ♁12.0–13.0, ♀ 18.0–20.0; length of pronotum: ♁ 2.4–2.5, ♀ 3.3–3.5; length of hind femur: ♁ 7.9–8.0, ♀ 8.7–9.0.

Type material. Holotype: ♁, China, Sichuan, Muli (Bowo), 28.69° N, 101.11° E, alt. 3910 m, 18 July 2021, collected by Rong-Long Yang. GoogleMaps Paratypes. 9♁, 3♀, same data, deposited in BMDU GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. In this genus, the species is characterised by the male subgenital plate, which is long conical, distally observably slimmed, apex acute.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the apex of male subgenital plate being acute.
