Type material examined. Paratypes: 1 male and 1 female ( RMNH), Polyphamus Cave , Maronia , Cyclops , Nomos Rhodopi [39°23´N, 24°24´E], Thracia, Greece, 1 July 1987, F. Gasparo leg. GoogleMaps
Diagnosis. Leptonetela thracia is similar to L. zhai sp. nov., but can be distinguished by the presence of six promarginal cheliceral teeth and three small retromarginal teeth ( Fig. 60C); the palm-shaped median apophysis; the presence of four small teeth on the distal part of median apophysis in the male ( Figs 57B, 60D); and the “V”- shaped anterior margin of atrium in the female ( Fig. 60B).
Description. Male: total length 2.01( Fig. 57A). Prosoma 0.90 long, 0.80 wide. Opisthosoma 1.12 long, 0.75 wide. Sternum 0.65 long, 0.50 wide. Prosoma yellowish. Without eyes, with a pair of setae on ocular area. Median groove need-shaped, brown, cervical groove and radial furrows distinct, pale brown. Clypeus 0.10 high, slightly sloped anteriorly. Chelicera ( Fig. 60C) yellow, with six promarginal teeth, the distal two wider spaced and three small retromarginal teeth. Endites and labium yellow. Sternum and legs yellowish. Leg measurements: I 8.61 (2.37, 0.36, 2.55, 2.10, 1.24); II 7.23 (1.90, 0.36, 2.12, 1.75, 1.10); III 5.88 (1.70, 0.30, 1.60, 1.45, 0.83); IV 7.88 (2.16, 0.36, 2.36, 1.85, 1.15). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Tibia III with two long spines dorsally (position 0.5 and 0.75), one spine prolaterally (0.5), tibia IV with three short spines dorsally (0.25, 0.5 and 0.75), two short spines prolaterally (0.25 and 0.75). Male palp ( Figs 57C–D, 59A–B): tibia with three trichobothria dorsally and five spines retrolaterally, the basal two equal length, strong, the distal three situate in triangular; middle part of tarsus with a long, curved spine at the base of the small earlobe-shaped process; tarsus with six long thorny spines distally. Tip of the bulb ( Figs 57B, 60D): median apophysis palm-shaped, distal edge decorated with four small teeth, conductor lamellar, embolus triangular.
Female: similar to male in coloration and general features, but with a larger body size and shorter legs. Total length 2.25 ( Figs 58A–B). Prosoma 0.87 long, 0.67 wide. Opisthosoma 1.25 long, 0.75 wide. Sternum 0.60 long, 0.50 wide. Clypeus 0.09 high. Leg measurements: I 7.18 (2.00, 0.36, 2.07, 1.65, 1.10); II 6.02 (1.75, 0.35, 1.60, 1.37, 0.95); III 5.50 (1.62, 0.26, 1.37, 1.25, 1.00); IV 6.51 (1.87, 0.35, 1.87, 1.52, 0.90). Internal genitalia ( Fig. 60B) with a pair of spermathecae and sperm ducts, spermatheca adjacent; anterior margin of atrium V-shaped.
