47. Thyrididae View in CoL View at ENA – window-winged moths
Small to medium-sized (12–42 mm wingspan) moths with dark wings that have uneven margins and translucent spots. Larvae are borers or gall makers, or feed from within rolled or tied leaves.
Approximately 760 species of Th yrididae are known worldwide, primarily in tropical and subtropical areas. Ten species are known in North America; one of these has recently been collected in AB. No recent revisions exist for the group, but the AB species can be found in Covell (1984).
