Type species. Mutilla naja Zavattari, 1913 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; the presumed female of another species was associated and described by Lelej, 2005: 149.

Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic.
