Paramyrmosa Saussure, 1880 (as subgenus of Myrmosa Latreille, 1796 ). Putesh. Turkestan A.P. Fedtshenko.

Fasc. 16, 2(5): 12. Male, female.

Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Myrmosa ( Paramyrmosa) radoszkowskyi Saussure, 1880 (male), by monotypy.

Taxonomic history. Raised to generic status by Pate, 1947: 196. Reduced to subgeneric status (in Myrmosa ) by Krombein, 1976: 257. Reinstated to generic status by Suárez, 1979a: 309. Subjective senior synonym of Morysmula Suárez, 1963 . Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species was described by Lelej, 1985b: 66.

Distribution. Palaearctic.
