Paramyrmosa Suárez, 1963a (as subgenus of Myrmosa Latreille, 1796 ). Boll. Soc. Ent. Ital. 93(7–8): 114.

Type species. Hylaeus thoracicus Fabricius, 1793 (male), by original designation (as Myrmosa thoracica ( Fabricius, 1793)) .

Taxonomic history. Objectively invalid name: junior homonym of Paramyrmosa Saussure, 1880. (Junior objective synonym of Krombeinella Pate, 1947 according to Krombein, 1976: 258.)
