Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Mammomutilla pectorosa Mickel, 1952 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Junior subjective synonym of Lophomutilla Mickel, 1952 (female) according to Quintero & Cambra, 2001b: 295. Subjectively invalid name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; the female of another species was associated and identified (as Lophomutilla Mickel, 1952 ) by Quintero & Cambra, 2001b: 295.

Distribution. Neotropical.
