Taxonomic history. Senior subjective synonym of Bordontilla Fritz & Martinez, 1975 . Valid generic name.
Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; females of other species were associated by Brothers 1975: 591 and identified as Bordontilla Fritz & Martinez, 1975: 129 by Quintero & Cambra, 2001b: 295.
Distribution. Neotropical.
