Sulcotilla Bischoff, 1920 . Arch. Naturgesch. 86A(1): 28 (in key); 1921, 86A(4): 555 (description). Female,?male.

Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Mutilla sulcata Magretti, 1884 (female), by subsequent designation of Bischoff, 1921: 555. Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The male was associated (on the basis of specimens collected in copula) but not described by Brothers, 1975: 592 and Nonveiller in FAO, 1975: 170.

Distribution. Afrotropical.
