Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Smicromyrme boheanus Chen, 1957 (male), by original designation (misspelled as boheana).

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; the females of other species were associated and described by Lelej, 1995b: 19.

Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic.
