Type species. Odontomutilla taiwaniana nipponica Tsuneki, 1972 (male, female; holotype male), by original designation (as Odontomutilla nipponica ).

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The type species was described from both sexes by Tsuneki, 1972: 7.

Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic.
