Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Zeugomutilla pycnopyga Chen, 1957 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species has not been recognized; the presumed female of another species was associated, identified (as Pristomutilla saepes Chen, 1957: 158 ) and described by Lelej, 1992: 284.

Distribution. Oriental.
