Remarks. The species is only known from three West African countries ( Lorenz 2021). The first record of this species from Guinea-Bissau by LaFerté-Sénectère (1849) was under the name of Casnonia lineola Dejean, 1831 and later reported for several localities of Guinea-Bissau by Serrano (2009a). However, some adult specimens recorded for this country under S. lineola in Serrano (2009a) were misidentified, belonging to S. nigeriana nigeriana Liebke, 1938 . This species seems common in this country and adults are active during the wet season, occurring at the edges of bogs within open savannah patches, open secondary forests, or even semi-humid forests. See also the syntopic species/subspecies for the 2009 reported sites ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ). It is a new species record for BIB and CAC Administrative Regions, Guinea-Bissau.
