Geographical distribution: French Pyrenees ( Angelier 1949; Martin 2009; Valdecasas 1988) and Portugal ( Cantallo et al. 2021).

Distribution in Portugal: North: International Minho River( Cantallo et al. 2021), in Vila Nova de Cerveira municipality-Lovelhe, close to Marina da Lenta.

Material examined: 1/0/0; Lovelhe; 41º57′2.39″N, 8º44′51.5″W; 24 September 2020; coll. by Aquamuseu Team; catalogue number NatMIP-CATr-0008.

Ecological notes: In low-order streams in mountain areas ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010); In Minho River, one individual was collected in the main sector, on sediment type ‘moderately sorted coarse sand’( Cantallo et al. 2021), in which logarithmic main grain size value was 0.575.

Remarks: First record mentioned for Portugal ( Cantallo et al. 2021).

Remarks: We propose to higher the ranking of Torrenticola (Torrenticola) amplexa to that of a full species given the elongated P. IV. A record from North America ( Quaglia & Conroy 1984) needs revision.
