Genus Goloboffia Griswold & Ledford, 2001 View in CoL
Goloboffia Griswold & Ledford, 2001: 17 View in CoL .
Species included. Goloboffia vellardi ( Zapfe, 1961) View in CoL , G. biberi View in CoL sp. nov., G. griswoldi View in CoL sp. nov., G. megadeth View in CoL sp. nov., G. pachelbeli View in CoL sp. nov.
Diagnosis. Males and females are distinguished from those of other migid genera (except from Calathotarsus and Moggridgea ) by having a broad ocular area occupying from 0.40 to 0.93 of caput width. Goloboffia is distinguished from Moggridgea by the presence of spines on tarsi I–IV, females lack a dorsal excavation on tibia III and males have lobes of palpal tarsus rounded and of similar sizes. Females of Goloboffia can be distinguished from those of Calathotarsus by lacking a ventral expansion and on palpal tarsus and also by the absence of dorsal spinules on palpal tarsus. Males of Goloboffia are distinguished from those of Calathotarsus by the bent metatarsus I, absence of a digitiform projection basally on metatarsus I and by the longer embolus of the palpal bulb with an apical expansion.
