The original specimens of this species came from the central area of South Africa, south of Pretoria ( Hood 1937).
Specimens studied: South Africa, 2 females, 2 males from Liliaceae ; Nigeria, 2 females from cowpea ( NHM) . Netherlands, 3 females from Aloe vera ( NPPO) .
