Glabrous annual or short-lived perennial. Stems succulent, pink, erect or procumbent and rooting at nodes. Leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate, serrate. Flowers in dense axillary cymes. Naturalized as a weed in rice-fields in E. Spain. [Hs.] (Tropical and subtropical Africa and Asia.)
