Calyria hyperochelabrys Sanborn 2020a: 550 View in CoL View Cited Treatment (Mt. St. Benedict Abby, St. Augustine, Trinidad).
Diagnosis. The five hind wing apical cells, the inflated abdomen with a dorsal ridge, the shape of the pygofer, particularly the elongated, flattened, posteriorly oriented upper pygofer lobes with the distal end expanding into an axe-like shape, easily distinguish this small piceous and red species.
Distribution. The species is only known from Trinidad ( Sanborn 2020a).

Dozier / Collector ” holotype male ( FSCA); “ TRINIDAD: Reunion Agr. / Station , Cocoa Research / 20–23–March–2000 R.E. / Woodruff. blacklight trap ” one male paratype ( FSCA), two male paratypes ( AFSC); “ TRINIDAD: Blanchisseuse / Ward, Morne Bleu / (11 mi. W. Simla) / 10–VI–1977 / E. E. Grissell /night sweeping” one male paratype ( FSCA); “ PORT OF SPAIN / TRINIDAD / IX–15–1966 / E.N.K.J. WAERING” one male paratype ( FSCA) .
