Diagnosis. This species can be easily distinguished from congeneric species by the presence of median wide ochreous fasciae on the forewing. Its male genitalia is similar to that of D. nigrofasciata but without a lateral phallus process.
Distribution and bionomics. This species is distributed in Nepal, NE India, Myanmar, Thailand, Loas, Vietnam, S. China and Taiwan ( Schintlmeister, 2008). In Taiwan, it appears in low to mid-elevation (750–2275 m) primary forests. The species is bivoltine and its adults occur in June, July, September and October.
