Distribution. Changzhi ( Liu et al. 2005); Jiaocheng: Guandi Hill ( Tian 1980); Huairen, Jiaocheng ( Liu et al. 1996); Jinzhong ( Tian 1987); Jinzhong: Taihang Mountain ( Tian 1989b); Ningwu ( Zhang et al. 2012); Taiyuan, Xixian ( Tian 1980; Liu et al. 1996); Yuncheng ( Liu et al. 2005); Shanxi ( Teng 1978; Teng & Jiang 1991; Zhang et al. 1991; Liu et al. 1996; Lu et al. 1995).

Remarks. Huang (1960) incorrectly recorded the authority and publishing year as Obv, 1932. Liu et al. (2005) incorrectly recorded the publishing year as 1927. Zhang et al. recorded the species as silvaram [sic]. Liu et al. 2005 recorded this species as Dermacentor coreus Itagaki, Noda & Yamaguchi, 1944 which is now a synonym of Dermacentor silvarum ( Guglielmone et al. 2010) .
