Examined types. VENEZUELA, Aragua: Carmen de Cura (350 m), paratype ♀, 11.VII.1966, F. Fernandez & C. J. Rosales col. (MCNZ 238.235); Lara: Duaca, paratype ♀, 19.II.1965, J. & B. Bechyné col. (MCNZ 238.236).

Remarks. Both Yingaresca limoensis ( Bechyné, 1997) comb. nov. and Y. magdalia ( Bechyné, 1997) comb. nov. do not share the characteristics originally presented by Wilcox (1965) that define Ophraella , nor in the subsequent revision by LeSage (1986), such as an oval and convex body—generally densely covered by erect hairs—and the presence of longitudinal bands on the elytra of most species. Furthermore, Ophraella has a Nearctic distribution, while Yingaresca occur essentially in the Neotropical region. In relation to host plants, the species of Ophraella are exclusively recorded on Asteraceae ( LeSage, 1986) . Bechyné (1997) mentioned O. limoensis and O.

magdalia (here transferred to Yingaresca ) on Cordia alba (Jacq.) Roem. & Schult. (Boraginaceae) ; the use of plants from this family as a food resource has already been verified for other species of Yingaresca : Y. ornata (Jacoby, 1889) on an undetermined species of Boraginaceae ( Bechyné 1997) , and Y. holosericea (Bowditch, 1923) and Y. difficilis (Bowditch, 1923) on Cordia monosperma (Jacq.) Roem. & Schult. ( Duckett & Moura 2002) .
