Genus Clinopsocus New, 1972: 31 .
Definition (for apterous forms). Assigned to family Elipsocidae , subfamily Elipsocinae (sensu Schmidt & New [2004]). Ocelli absent. Antennae 13-segmented; distribution of placoid sensilla: one or more on f1, f4, f6, f10; the latter (f10) with longer filament; terminal end of f 11 variable—slender or with slight knob. Distal inner labral sensilla 11; outer sensilla 4. Clypeal shelf moderate (in the new species, Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–6 ) or broad; lacinial tip with outer cusp slightly lobed, longer than median cusp. Tarsi 2-segmented; claw with subapical denticle; pulvillus slender throughout. Pearman’s organ absent. Body setae blunt-ended. Subgenital plate with distal median lobe undivided, bearing several strong setae. Gonapophyses with long, slender termination of v2 and v3. Telson lobes variable, but epiproct with two slender setae on hind margin.
