Head densely punctured, interspaces on clypeus, head behind eyes and postocellar area obvious, but narrower than diameter of punctures, shiny; punctures on labrum fine and sparse; mesonotum include mesoscutellum densely punctured, interspaces on middle of prescutum, of scutum, and of mesoscutellum broader than diameter of punctures, shiny ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 n); posterior slope of mesoscutellum densely and coarsely punctured without interspaces; posttergite shiny; mesoparapsides with large and sparse punctures and dense microsculpture; metascutellum with anterior slope shiny and posterior slope densely punctured; metapostnotum and metaparapsides shiny with margins slightly microsculptured; middle and upper of mesepisternum densely and coarsely punctured, venter with large and shiny interspaces between small and sparse punctures; anterior corner of venter with a distinct polished patch; anepimeron coarsely punctured, katepimeron microsculptured, posterior shiny; metepisternum with upper densely punctured, mat, and venter sparsely punctured, shiny; basin of metepimeron shiny, margin of basin microsculptured, dorsum of metepimeron with large punctures and posterior corner shiny. First abdominal tergite shiny without microsculpture, lateral edges hardly punctured; 2nd tergite weakly microsculptured, other tergites microsculptured, 4th to 8th tergites punctured.
Hairs on dorsum of head straight, slightly shorter than diameter of lateral ocellus. Clypeus flat, anterior margin truncate; malar space as long as transverse diameter of median ocellus; shortest distance between eyes below antennal sockets in front view 1.1 × as long as eye height; middle fovea broad and shallow; interocellar furrow narrow and deep, postocellar furrow broad and shallow; postocellar area 1.6 × as broad as long, slightly lower than top of ocelli, obviously elevated; lateral furrows deep, weakly curved, slightly divergent posteriorly; head behind eyes 0.8 × length of eye in dorsal view; curved laterally and then convergent posteriorly; genal carina sharp, complete ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 j). Antenna slightly longer than head and thorax together, obviously shorter than vein C, 2nd antennomere 1.3 × as long as broad, relative length of 3rd to 4th antennomeres as 1.7, 5th to 8th antennomeres weakly enlarged, hardly compressed, inner and outer sides of 6th to 8th antennomeres with weak furrows, 7th antennomere about 2 × as long as broad. Middle furrow of prescutum deep; mesoscutellum slightly elevated, hardly higher than scutum. Metabasitarsus 5.3 × as long as broad, about 1.2 × length of following 3 tarsomeres combined, hind inner tibial spur 0.5 × length of metabasitarsus. Pulvilli of hind tarsus weakly developed, 1st pulvillus 0.6 × basal breadth and 0.4 × apical breadth of metabasitarsus, distance between basal two pulvilli 2.5 × length of 2nd pulvillus. Ovipositor sheath as long as middle tibia, venter margin curved, exposed part of apical sheath about 1.2 × as long as broad; apical sheath 1.3 × length of basal sheath. Lancet with 15 serrulae ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 j), middle serrulae each with 10 distal fine teeth ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 w).
Male. Length, 10.5 mm ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 h, 5l). Similar to female in structure and color, but pterostigma dark brown, inner 0.5 to 0.7 of tegula black, most of 4th abdominal tergite, and 5th to 9th sternites black, posterior pale margin of pronotum narrower than diameter of lateral ocelli, venter of hind 1st trochanter with black spot, apical 0.3 to 0.5 of hind tibia black; malar space linear, 0.2 × transverse diameter of median ocellus ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 l); head in front view with lower interocular distance 0.8 × eye height; head behind eyes 0.5 × eyes in length in dorsal view, curved in middle and narrowing posteriorly ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 k); hairs on dorsum of head as long as lateral ocelli. Genitalia as in Figs 10 View FIGURE 10 e, 10f.
Variation. The hind femur in male is sometimes largely black; and the black macula on apex of hind tibia varies in size.
