Specimens examined. [Probably Takarazuka, Hyogo pref., Honshu]: 1♀ 1♂, “Noibara [= Rosa multiflora ], D, 3. IV. 62, emerged”; 1♀, “Noibara, D, head yellow, lateral maculae, 26. III. 63, emerged, No. 1, 9. IV, dead”; 1♂, “Noibara, Nawashiro [?= Rubus parvifolius ] D, 8-IV. 62 cocooned, 26. III. 63 emerged”; 1♂, “Yabuhebiichigo [= Potentilla indica ], 29. III. 63 emerged”; 1♀, “Yabuhebiichigo, No. 8, 12. IV. dead”. All in MNHAH.

Host plants. Rosaceae : Rosa multiflora , Potentilla indica (Andrews) Th.Wolf. ,? Rubus parvifolius L. Remarks. On a label of one specimen, Inomata noted “Nawashiro”, whose meaning is not entirely clear. It is probably an abbreviated word for “Nawashiro-Ichigo”, a Japanese name for Rubus parvifolius .
