Die Populationen der subalpinen und alpinen Stufe werden unter dem Taxon europomene (OCHSENHEIMER 1816) zusammengefasst; Substrat der monophagen Larve ist Vaccinium uliginosum; fallweise individuenreich in der Zwergstrauchheide vorkommend, durch anthropogene Eingriffe in bestehende Biotopstrukturen lokal gefährdet (z.B. Sonnenkopf).
