Apoecilus Stål, 1870

As mentioned above, for many years, this genus was considered to be a subgenus within Apateticus . Thomas (1992) elevated this taxon to full genus. At present, Apoecilus contains only the three species listed below, all of which were listed in Froeschner (1988) under Apateticus . These species were reviewed in an unpublished dissertation (again, under the name Apateticus ) ( Phillips 1983), and they were also treated by Thomas (1992).
