Holotype. Male ( MNNC), Chile, Santiago, Peñalolén, Casa de Piedra , 1600 m.
Distribution. Argentina. (Neuquén, Río Negro, Esquel). Chile. Región Metropolitana de Santiago: Santiago Province (Peñalolén). Región del Maule: Linares Province (Baños de Longaví). Región de Ñuble: Diguillín Province (Las Cabras). Región de La Araucanía: Malleco Province (Lonquimay) ( Fig. 90 View FIGURE 90 ).

Biology. Devoto & Medan (2006) recorded this species visiting the flowers of Berberis empetrifolia Lam. and Discaria chacaye (G. Don.) Tortosa , whereas T. porteri also has been recorded feed on flowers of Trevoa quinquenervia Gillies & Hook in central Chile (D. Medan, unpublished data) and Alstroemeria revoluta Ruiz & Pav. in foothills of the Región de Ñuble (R.M. Barahona-Segovia unpublished data).
