Included species. Roquettea carajas sp. nov., Roquettea jalapensis Ferreira & Kury, 2010 , Roquettea peba sp. nov., Roquettea scrotalis Ferreira & Kury, 2010 , Roquettea singularis Mello-Leitão, 1931 (type species), Roquettea taurina Ferreira & Kury, 2010 .

Historical background of Roquettea . Mello-Leitão (1931) described the genus Roquettea with the type species Roquettea singularis from Utinga (Pará state). Almost at the same time, Sørensen (1932) described the genus Tetracyphus with the type species Tetracyphus mirabilis Sørensen from Cametá (Pará State, Brazil). Mello-Leitão (1933) synonymized both species and accordingly, their monotypic genera. Later, Ferreira & Kury (2010) made a revision of the genus and described three new Brazilian species, Roquettea jalapensis from Mateiros (Tocantins State), Roquettea taurina from Taquaruçú (Tocantins State) and Roquettea scrotalis from Ferreira Gomes (Amapá State).
