Previous records in Iran. Becker & Stein (1913): Kuch-i-Tuftan (Sistan and Balochistan), Kjaris-i-Nan (Chorassan), Dech-i-Pabid (Kerman); Mohammadi & Khaghaninia (2015): Varzaqan region (East Azerbaijan); Khaghaninia & Kazerani (2016): Mekidi valley (East Azerbayjan).

Taxonomic note. This species is known to be very variable, showing differences in size and colour ( Rozkošný 1982). Contrary to Rozkošný’s remarks, according to which the scutellum is yellow and shows a large semi-circular basal spot, the scutellum of the female from Emam is completely black and only the tips of the spines are yellow coloured. Furthermore, the size of the female is 13 millimetres and exceeds the maximum size of the species given by Rozkošný (1982) by one millimetre.
