Material examined. COLOMBIA, Vaupés: Bajo Río Apaporis, Lago Taraira, Estación Biológica Mosiro Itájura (Caparú), 200 m, 1.066667°N, 69.516667°W, 7 ♂, 2 imm, II–IV.2004, J. Pinzón (ICN-Ar 7265, 7267, 7270, 7284, 7285, 7305). Guainía: Inírida, Comunidad Indígena Chorro-Bocón, 150 m, 1 ♀, XI.2003, H. Pulido (ICN-Ar 6754).

Diagnosis of the female. Female can be recognized from all remaining females of the species of the genus by the elongate copulatory ducts ( Figs 10–12 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ).

Description. Female (ICN-Ar 6754). Total length 3.33. Carapace orange, 1.47 long, 0.96 wide, 0.67 high ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ). OC 0.64 long. Anterior eye row 1.04 wide and posterior 0.95 wide. Sternum 0.58 long, 0.42 wide. Labium 0.14 long, 0.20 wide. Chelicerae with four large retromarginal teeth, and five small promarginal teeth. Legs 4132, yellow, all laterally with dark longitudinal stripes. Spination: femur I–IV d 1 di, reduced in size; tibia I v 2-2 -2-2; II v 2-1 -2; metatarsus I–II v 2-2. Abdomen cream-colored, rounded, with a dark longitudinal stripe, crossed by two transverse dark stripes ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ). Epygine with large spermathecae, with elongate and externally placed copulatory ducts ( Figs 10–12 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ), which correspond with the embolus length of the male of the species.

Distribution. Colombia (Guainía, Vaupés) and Brazil (Amazonas).
