Oecetis excisa Ulmer 1907 View in CoL
This species is widely distributed in the Neotropical Region, being recorded from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay, and Venezuela. Paprocki et al. (2004) included this species in their Brazilian inventory based on the examined material of the original description. However, Ulmer (1907) described the species based on five specimens from Argentina, and not from Brazil. Rueda Martín et al. (2011) truly recorded O. excisa from Brazil for the first time at "Corias St., Lago Feia, near Formosa ". Although the state was not specified, the locality cited is placed in Goiás state, central-western Brazil. Herein, we expand the species distribution to Mato Grosso do Sul and Pará states, central-western and northern regions, respectively.
