Distribution. Caucasus and Eastern Anatolia ( Bonato et al. 2011; Dyachkov et al. 2022b).

Remarks. The name Geophilus caucasicus was introduced as a nomen nudum by Sseliwanoff (1881b), with the corresponding description provided later ( Sseliwanoff 1884).

G. transmontanus was synonymized under G. caucasicus by Muralewicz (1926).
