Distribution: India (West Bengal); Australia (Queensland, New South Wales. Victoria); Borneo; Brunei; Caroline Islands; China; Guam; Hawaiian Islands; Japan; Kalimantan; Malaysia; Nepal; New Guinea; Philippine Islands; Sabah; Sarawak; Sri Lanka; Sumatra; Taiwan; Thailand; Vietnam ( Diakonoff 1976; Robinson et al. 1994; Komai 1999; Pinkaew 2006; Nedoshivina 2013).
Hosts: Larvae feed primarily on the fruit of Fabaceae , including Acacia spp., Adenanthera pavonina , Bauhinia spp., Caesalpinia spp, Cassia spp., Delonix regia , Glycine max , Sesbania grandiflora , Tamarindus indica , and others. However, it also has been recorded from Lepisanthes rubinigosa and Litchi chinensis (Sapindaceae) , Averrhoa carambola (Oxalidaceae) , Limonia spp. and Citrus spp. ( Rutaceae ), and many others ( Bradley 1953; Simon Thomas 1958, 1962; Diakonoff 1968; Clarke 1976; Zimmerman 1978; Lingappa & Siddappaji 1981; Horak 2006).
